It has come to the attention of Montimedia that the E169 USB modem experiences some issues when utilised with the new Mac OS X v10.6 also known as ‘Snow Leopard’.

There has been an update issued by the modem manufacturer for Snow Leopard.

The direct link to download the updates is - http://www.huaweidevice.com/resource/mini/200910149695/testmobile1014/index.html?directoryId=3874&treeId=0

Download the TOOL-DashboardInstaller V100R001B003.zip

Once the software has been updated open the connection software and do the following from the SETTINGS menu.

Make a new profile:

1. Call it what you want - say MBB
2. Enter the APN - SPLNS111A1 (in CAPS)
3. Use the access number *99#
4. Leave USERNAME and PASSWORD blank
4. Authentication is - CHAP

That's it - no other info is required. The modem will now work with 10.6 Snow Leopard.

Kind regards
Montimedia Support team.
